When your out here in Iraq and sand gets into everything , something simple like setting up a few PCs becomes an
arduous task. Switches and Comms gear is sent from the US central Ops , but its forever breaking down due to sand damage.
Now Im only a lowly soldier ( and blogger! ) but I want to save the country money , so locally we’ve started buying
used cisco gear. Its the way to go! Theres nothing wrong with the gear, its top notch ,just refurbished! Who cares as long as it does what you need to do! And whats more , it might be a few versions old , but Im only connecting a few PCS!
