Cancerous but curable for the pocket
I was reading an article in a magazine yesterday while I was waiting in the doctor’s surgery. It was about malignant Mesothelioma. Scary stuff. It’s the form of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos that affects the thin tissue layer surrounding the body’s internal organ. The really scary thing is this illness is that even if you have it, you might not show symptoms until 20 to 50 years after initial exposure occurs! It’s also really difficult to diagnose because the symptoms often resemble less serious conditions. Really makes you think when you’re reading something like that. Thankfully I was only at the doctors for a minor ailment. I left the surgery feeling like I need to grab everyday with gusto because you just never know what’s around the corner.
