Nursing fond memories
One of my fondest memories of my aunt Joyce was her dressed up in her dickies scrubs before going on duty at the local hospital. She was of the larger size shall we say; she had such warmth and laughter in her that you knew if she was nursing you back to health, you’d be right as rain in no time. She had a way about her that put people at ease, even when they were in a bad way. She always knew the right thing to say and when to say it. But she was also tough and took no nonsense from anybody – least of all me!
