Is it just me or are name plates making a bit of a comeback? I’m considering getting personalised plates for my car and maybe even a name plate for my desk. And depending on who I get in the office party Secret Santa, I may even push the boat out and treat someone else to a name plate for their desk or office door! Actually, might look at getting something in that line for my nephew for Christmas; obviously one that’s child orientated.
We were at a seminar last week and instead of the usual rubbish marketing material that we get to bring home at the end of it, we were all given some really rather nice leather backpacks in which to put all the usual garb! The company holding the seminar went all out; the venue, the speakers, the catering, the marketing material – all first class. I’m looking forward to doing business with this company in the future.
It’s that time of year again when we need to start digging out those snow chains. Is it just me or do the months seem to be flying by quicker? Or are the winters getting longer? Hard to know which it is. But I do think that the winters are getting harsher. All the more reason I need to win the lottery so that I can move to the sun and never need to worry about snow again, unless it’s in a snow globe!
Going through my bathroom cabinet last night I came to the conclusion that my dental supplies need a serious overhaul. My toothbrush would be better suited to cleaning the grout between my tiles rather than my teeth. My toothpaste was a sticky mess of gloop. My dental tape, well that was non existent. I also discovered 5 near empty hair wax tubs. Why?? Also found 11 bottles of anti dandruff shampoo and 9 packets of sugar free gum. I have got to stop hoarding.
Is it me or does anyone else worry about false advertising? Like when a jacket is waterproof or when a beaker is leakproof? I had my doubts about a phone my brother in law had, that he bought under the pretence of it being shock resistant and almost unbreakable. My doubts weren’t unfounded as it turned out! I’m not typically sceptical or anything but I’d be afraid to test out underwater cameras for fear of a similar fate to my brother in law’s phone!
Now I’m no prude and I’m all about free expression etc but there has to be a time and a place for wearing certain things and work ISN’T a place for what I saw on a guy in the mail room today. fishnet tops shouldn’t be worn to work by men or women. In fact, they shouldn’t be worn at all! Not in public anyway. Except, perhaps, to a fancy dress party. Or to certain types of club if you catch my drift…
I don’t know how many times today I meant to get an rv insurance quote. Several times I attempted to do it and then I got side tracked and something else got in the way. Every time I began the process, either the phone rang or someone arrived at my office or the ‘ping’ of a new email sounded. It was such a hectic day. the end of the day can’t get here quick enough; I’m exhausted!
I think it’s fair to say that we don’t have summers like we used too… And our winters are becoming more extreme. I’m not a fan of the cold – I’m more of a sun worshipper. So I was delighted to make a cosy purchase for myself this weekend that has helped ease me into the thought of long, cold winter nights. My purchase? A heated mattress pad. It’ll keep me warm and might even entice me to head to bed early every night to catch up on my much needed beauty sleep.
“I need some allergy treatment austin” shouted Lisa. She was having a serious reaction this time. It was more serious than it usually was. She had no idea what had caused it and the stress of not knowing was, she thought, making her condition even worse. Austin didn’t really care. He was having too much of a good time in the den where he was watching the highlights of the latest game!
I’ve always had an interest in horses and finally decided that I wanted to take horse riding lessons. I researched stables in my area that catered for the older newbie, ie me, and found one not too far away. My research went a little askew and I started looking at all things horsey and before I knew it I was in the process of purchasing english horse tack!
