A friend of mine lost her job some time back but rather than feel sorry for herself, she decided to be proactive and use her creative talents to bring in some extra cash. She started off making baby shower invitations and wedding invitations and such like. Things have gone from strength to strength for her and she’s getting busier every week. I’m so pleased for her. it just goes to show that if you have the get up and go, anything is possible.
The POS system in our local shop went belly up just as I got to the counter yesterday. Typical! I wouldn’t mind but I’d queued for ages and was getting pretty agitated at the guy in front of me who was talking too loudly on his cell, and the girl in front of him who kept biting her nails and the old dear in front of her who counted out all the loose change in her purse before realizing she didn’t have enough money in change to pay for her messages. All I wanted was my beer and chips; wasn’t too much to ask for!
I’ve often wondered how guys riding on a motorcycle and wearing a helmet could breathe properly. I imagined that one would feel claustrophobic or at the very least, uncomfortable. So, in order to understand, I asked a few guys who ride to work, how comfortable their choice of helmets are. One guy amazed me when he told me about his HJC IS-Max BT helmet. It sounds like something from a sci-fi movie. It has so many features I just may have to get me a bike so that I can buy one of these bad boys!
My sister is celebrating her birthday shortly. She’s a rather high maintenance girl and likes the finer things in life. Rather than be straight and let me know what she wanted, she left a hint for me as to what to buy her. She left a catalogue from a rather upmarket jewellers store and marked a page with michael kors watches. I think I’ll buy her a coffee percolator instead.
A friend of ours recently had a baby. They live some considerable distance away from us so it’s not like we can pop over and see them and their newborn some evening after work. So our dilemma is whether or not to send gift baskets now or wait until we take a trip to see them? It could be another few months before we get to see them so I think we’ll send something now and maybe bring something small when we finally get to meet the little man. Decisions decisions!!
The local community centre is being refurbished and they’re looking at getting a cabinet for sports trophies won by local teams. There are trophies from the local football team, the bowling team, the badminton team and the junior baseball team. Sport really is an important part of community life around here. It unites people in a wonderful way and seems to make everyone smile. Lets see if we can add even more trophies to it once it’s complete.
Drug addiction is no laughing matter. A friend of mine was prescribed xanax over a year ago for depression after his partner died suddenly. I was very anxious when I heard he’d been prescribed the drug but said nothing for fear of exacerbating an already sensitive issue. Before too long, my friend was undeniably addicted though he strongly denied it. He is now entering rehab in the hope of completing a xanax detox. There’s a long road ahead but we’ll all be waiting for him when he gets out.
samsung lcd screens are amongst the best in the world as far as I’m concerned. I don’t really have much experience with any other brand but that’s because I’ve never needed too! Samsung have such a great range of size, quality, price range, variety – something for everyone. Anyone would think I had shares in them or even worked for them the way I promote them…
I’ve been looking at various term life insurance quotes online for the last week and think I’ve finally made a decision regarding my quotes; it seems shopping around pays in dividends! The key is reading through the sales waffle and knowing what you need and what you want aren’t always the same things. Hopefully I’m onto a winner with my newfound thinking.
